Membership Information

There are five (5) classes of membership in BPA: Regular, Honorary,
Associate, Student and Family.

NOTE: The following resolution was passed by the BPA Board of Directors in Philadelphia on August 8, 2015. This resolution applies toRegular Members only….

Whereas: BPA National Dues have not changed since 1997,
Therefore be it resolved: That BPA National Dues be raised to $60.00 effective October 1, 2015.

 

Please note: The amounts listed are for National dues only – individual Chapter dues are set by the chapters and should be paid directly to them.

Regular Member: ($60.00 dues – as of October 1, 2015, $61.65 through PayPal)

Anyone who has held a  FAA certification or military equivalent can be a regular member of the Black Pilots of America. Only Regular Members shall be eligible to vote, and shall possess any right in and to the use of property and assets of the Organization.

Honorary:

Honorary members shall be those persons invited to become such at the absolute discretion of the Board of Directors. Such persons continue to hold this status for such period as the Board of Directors may direct.

Associate: ($35.00 dues – as of October 1, 2015, $36.10 through PayPal)

Associate members are individuals who share the aviation interests of BPA but have not met the requirements outlined in paragraph A of this article and who pledge to support this constitution. Associate members cannot run for office or vote for local or national officers.

Student: ($10.00 dues, $10.55 through PayPal)

Student Membership shall be opened to any full time student, 23 years old or younger, attending an accredited institution.  Student Members shall be eligible to vote and shall possess rights in and to the property and assets of the organization so long as the requirements of Regular Membership are met.

Family: ($10.00 dues, $10.55 through PayPal)

Family membership shall be open to spouses, dependent children, dependent step-children, and legal wards of Regular Members.
